Al Bukey, CFPIM, CIRM, CSCP
Instructor
Al Bukey has over 25 years of experience in supply chain, ERP, and JIT systems, industrial engineering, manufacturing applications, management consulting and training across many companies and industries. He is the President of ABCO Engineering and Operations Management Ltd. established in 1991. Mr. Bukey has been involved in extensive number of key projects such as establishing manufacturing operations, supply chain systems, implementing ERP systems (seven to date), JIT applications, re-engineering, scheduling, production planning and control, inventory and wareshouse management, industrial and manufacturing engineering, and training.
Al is a highly recognized and authorized instructor for all APICS courses and teaches frequently at organizations including the customized seminars/workshops in supply chain management, materials, logistics, JIT, and operations management. He has published many articles and given numerous seminars in his area of expertise. He is currently serving at various APICS committees and is one of the subject matter experts for Certified Supply Chain Professional program.

Branko Tosic, CPIM, CIRM, CSCP

Branko Tosic, is the founder of Danex Systems Limited, a consulting company assisting small and medium enterprises in the integration and optimization of their supply chains.
Branko has been in the Information Systems and Technology business for almost 30 years. Over the last 15 years he has specialized in the implementation and integration of Enterprise Resource Planning and Supply Chain Management applications. He has worked with clients in Europe and across North America. His client base ranges from small automotive manufacturing plants to global pharmaceutical and consumers packaged goods corporations.
Branko has been conducting APICS Certification courses since 1999.

Daniel Hui, CPIM, CSCP

Daniel Hui, P.Eng., MBA, CPIM
Has over 25 years industrial experience in the logistics and supply chain management. His background in supply chain management includes chemicals; consumer packaged goods and high tech sectors plus consulting experience in the installation of supply chain planning and execution software.
He served on the Toronto Chapter's board of director 1995 - 2003, and as VP Education 1999 -2001. Daniel is a Recognized APICS instructor and an active instructor with the Toronto Chapter since 1995. His experience in training and education includes over 2 years of full time teaching at the university level.
Currently he is a senior manager in global supply chain management with a leading global electronics manufacturing services provider.
Daniel is a Recognized APICS Instructor in following programs:

Shahriar Nayeri, CPIM

Shahriar Nayeri, CPIM Certified since 1998, specializes in Process and Resource Optimization in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing and Distribution. Shahriar has achieved this by applying Process Improvement, Enterprise Resource Planning, Computer Based Solutions and Optimum layout designs in a variety of environments for more than 20 years.
Shahriar holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering. He is a member of the Professional Engineers Ontario and Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by APICS.

Chaim Silberstein, CFPIM, CIRM, CSCP

Chaim is an acknowledged expert consultant and educator in the fields of Supply Chain Management (SCM), ERP, S&OP, Inventory management, Lean Manufacturing, TOC, manufacturing, distribution systems, organizational change and cultural transformation. He has been consulting for various corporations, educational institutions and APICS chapters, for more than 20 years. He has managed numerous successful ERP Implementation and technology projects and developed many educational programs in Supply Chain Management, ERP, Lean Thinking and TOC. He published numerous articles on the subject of Integrated Business Systems and key implementation success factors, change management, TOC, Lean Manufacturing, Value of Education and Cost Benefit Analysis. He is widely quoted and a frequent speaker at various events and conferences around the globe. Most recently he conducted a cross Canada Supply Chain Preparedness Survey for Microsoft and was a key note speaker at Microsoft’s ‘Smarten Your Supply Chain’ event in Toronto.
Chaim possesses a unique combination of hands-on management, consulting and project experience that enables him to provide value added assistance to his clients not only with the principles and techniques but also with the practical management application and implementation. He has educated and helped transform many companies and improved their operations efficiencies and bottom line.
Chaim is currently a Professor at Seneca College Faculty of Business, teaching operations management and Enterprise Resource Planning.
Most recently (2002 – 2007) he was acting VP of SCM and Technology for a manufacturer of milling products for the building industry. In his role he was responsible for corporate education, managing the Supply Chain including Materials Planning and Inventory Management. He was also responsible for the IT department as well as corporate continuous improvement projects which involved the implementation of an ERP system as well as an RF technology project.
Before that (1996 – 2002) he was a acting manufacturing manager for a medical device company where he managed the implementation of two major ERP implementations, as well as company education, various technology, automation and plant expansion projects.
Chaim is the past (1999-2000) Vice President APICS Region VIII (Canada).
Prior to C.S. Consulting Associates Inc. he was Assistant Vice President Materials Management for a Communications company, as well as consulting with KPMG and Price Waterhouse Coopers where he was responsible for Manufacturing and Distributions Systems.
Chaim is Certified at a Fellow level in Production and Inventory Management (CFPIM), Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM) and Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) by APICS, The Association for Operations Management. He is qualified by APICS to teach CPIM, CIRM, Train The Trainer (TTT) and Learning Dynamics for Instructors (LDI). Chaim is also certified as a Jonah by the Goldratt Institute.

George Stevens, CFPIM

George has over 25 years of experience as a practitioner and educator in supply chain management, ERP, warehouse management, JIT systems, lean manufacturing and industrial engineering across many companies and industries.
He has been involved as a practitioner and change agent in scheduling, production planning, inventory control, warehouse management, purchasing, industrial engineering, education and training.
George has worked with the Operations Management Education and Research Institute of Canada designing, developing and delivering entry level education in the field of operations and supply chain management.
Previously, George has held materials management positions in Tier 1 Automotive, Food Packaging, Automotive Aftermarket and Wire & Cable manufacturing. George has held Industrial engineering positions in Wire & Cable and Consumer Goods manufacturing. He also has provided retraining for unemployed individuals seeking entry level positions in materials handling & warehousing.
George is an authorized instructor for the Toronto Chapter of APICS and teaches frequently at organizations and community colleges in the areas of supply chain management, lean manufacturing, 5S, materials management, warehouse management, JIT, and operations management.

Clark Weddell, CFPIM, CIRM

J. Clark Weddell, CFPIM, CIRM, has been active in APICS since 1968, serving as President of the Montreal and Durham CAPIC Chapters, on Region VIII staff during several occasions, on the APICS nominations committee twice, and on TEAM four times. He was appointed APICS Region VIII Ambassador in November 1998 and elected Executive Vice-President of the Region by the Chapter Presidents in September of 1999.
He has served as APICS Vice-President for Region VIII (Canada) in 2001 and will complete his term at the end of 2002. A charter CPIM Fellow, he teaches the APICS Fundamentals courses as well as being certified by APICS as an instructor of the CPIM, CIRM and LDI programs. With degrees in Communications (Concordia) and Management (McGill), he has been actively involved in OMERIC course development. Clark has spoken at numerous APICS & CAPIC conferences, Chapter meetings, and to several other business groups, including the PMAC. With over 35 years' experience in a variety of responsible positions in the Materials / Logistics, Operations, Information Systems and Project Management fields, he has worked in the telecommunications, electronics, pharmaceutical, food, public utility and building products industries.
He is now Principal Consultant / Educator for MDL-Manufacturing / Distribution Logistics, in Whitby, Ontario where he practices Quality Assistancesm in helping his clients, principally in the areas of their operations and systems.

Sherman Cheung, CPIM

Sherman Cheung is a all-round supply chain management technologist: from corporate supply chain strategy to channel distribution, CRM, operations planning, purchasing, material management, MRP II, and systems implementations.
Sherman has over 10 years experience in supply chain re-engineering and sophisticated in best-in-class business practices in integrated management, sales & operations planning process, TQM, Lean Manufacture, and JIT. He is expertise in corporate system architecture and implementations for: ERP, CRM, MRP II, APS, WMS, EIS/data mining.
Certified in CPIM, purchasing and logistics, Sherman also possesses a Master degree in Logistics Management, BBA and diploma in Industrial Engineering. He has extensive global and local management experience – he worked in senior management positions and in corporate headquarters for several multi-national corporations, such as The Dow Chemical Company, Sea Land Service Inc., and Jardine Matheson. Sherman is currently a senior Manager in Supply Chain Management of a leading corporation in Ontario.

May Fung has been an APICS member since 1998 and was CPIM certified in 2000.
A materials management professional with 7+ years of progressive experience in fast pace and dynamic supply chain environments. May has worked in various industries including plastics, cosmetics, telecommunications and vaccines.
Her work experience includes production planning, procurement, inventory management, warehouse management, trade compliance, system integration and 3rd party service provider management.

Anil Mislankar, CPIM, CSCP

Anil Mislankar, Ph.D., CPIM
Anil has been an APICS member since 2001 and CPIM certified. He is currently working as a Global Process Architect in Supply Chain Management at Celestica Inc.
Anil holds Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of Windsor and has several years of Research and Teaching experience in Chemistry and Pulp and Paper Science. Has over dozen papers published in refereed journals.
Anil has been an active APICS member and works hard to provide quality PDM events to the members.

Mauro Girardo, CPIM

Mauro Girardo has 19 years experience in manufacturing environments, including metal fabrication and assembly, plastic molding and assembly, and electrical assembly. He has been involved in all aspects of manufacturing from shop floor supervision, scheduling, maintenance and inventory; with a strong focus on process and productivity improvement. He is currently the Manufacturing Manager for a leading jewellery manufacturer.
Mauro has been a member of APICS and Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) since 2001. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a BASc in Mechanical Engineering and he is also a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).

John Dantas, CPIM, CSCP

John has over 20 years of experience in manufacturing and planning. His focus has been on improving manufacturing processes, cost reduction, optimization of resource utilization and introduction of new parts. John’s experience ranges from the cosmetic and beverage industry to CNC machine shops where he has vast exposure to mass, continuous, and batch production as well as the job shop environment. Throughout his career, he has held various positions in Manufacturing, Production Control, Industrial Engineering, Project Management and Education & Training. Most recently he was in charge of the Production Control, Engineering, and Quality Assurance departments in the Components Division at Husky Injection Molding.
John has a Mechanical Engineering Degree. He obtained his CPIM certification in 2001 and CSPC certification in 2006. He is also a licensed member of Professional Engineers Ontario. He has been involved with the Toronto Chapter Board since 2004.
An avid musician, John plays the bass guitar for a band. His hobbies also include woodworking, playing and coaching sports.

Mark Tinkler, CPIM, CIRM, CSCP

Mark has been a member of APICS since 2001 and is currently the Quality Manager for an Aerospace manufacturer. With over 25 years of experience in manufacturing, he has worked in various technical and managerial capacities including, R&D Technologist, Manufacturing Engineer, Production Manager, and as an ERP Implementation Consultant.
He is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and holds several ASQ certifications, including the Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) certification. Mark is also a member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), and the Project Management Institute (PMI) and holds the PMP certification from PMI.
He also has obtained APICS Train the Trainer and Lean Enterprise Instructors Training certifications and is a graduate from Centennial College's Teacher/Trainer of Adults program.
His core beliefs are strongly focused on quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.
